Christmas Creche'

At the first of December, our ward (church congregation) hosted our annual Christmas Creche' exhibit.  There are hundreds of nativities on display from all around the world.  It is such a beautiful event, and really sets the tone for a Christ-centered Christmas.  The entire community is invited, and it is a wonderful couple of evenings!

The cultural hall ready with all the displays...

In addition to all of the nativity sets, we also have a "live" nativity.  Here is Emily having her turn as Mary (with adorable Luke as Joseph).

Abby's turn as Mary (with Lunden as Joseph).

There is also live music going on throughout the event.  All of the girls learned to play some Christmas music on the piano...I was so proud of them all.  They played beautifully!

We had someone come from the Thomasville Scene magazine this year.  They took LOTS of pictures and are planning to put an article about the event in the magazine in time for next year's Creche' exhibit.  We are hoping that will bring even more people out to celebrate the TRUE meaning of Christmas!

What a great idea to do it in the Relief Society room. We had a dinner but when all the table were set up there was not very much room left over for the Nativites.

Having them displayed like that really seemed to set the atmosphere.

Happy New Year!
