School Stuff...Jan. 2011

Emily was honored at her school's awards day back in January.  She received three awards...Math Master (best in her class), Art Award (only one given out per class!), and the Student of the Month.  We are so proud of Emily for all of her hard work!

Such a beauty!

Emily and Mrs. Butler (her homeroom and math teacher)

So glad I got to be there...I ran over real quick from subbing at the school next door!  :)

Meemaw and Papa wouldn't miss it, either!

Shelby on bass clarinet at her Winter Concert.  She has learned how to play the bass clarinet this year because there were so many saxophones the other parts of the band were being drowned out.  We are so proud of all her success!  (Of course, next year at the high school she'll go back to playing the saxophone since that's the instrument we bought!)  :)

Science Fair project...made it again to regionals and placed 2nd!
Her project, "More Bang for Your Buck," was about which brand of popcorn has the most percentage of popped kernels per bag.  She popped and counted 30 bags of popcorn for her project.  Needless to say, I did not have any appetite for popcorn for quite a while after that!  :)
