As the girls get older, Halloween has changed.
Gone are the trips to the Disney store to get a princess costume with wand, shoes, wig, purse, etc.
Gone is the excitement in choosing a costume.
Now...it's all about getting candy. And to do that, they have to be in a costume.
(I don't know about you, but I cannot stand the kids running from house to house with a big bag and no costume. At least make an effort, okay?!?)
So, at the very last minute this is what we came up with. (I guess it doesn't help that I am working now, and almost nothing is done in advance anymore.)
Emily and Abby each had a friend come over for the day so they could go to the church Trunk-or-Treat that night. Emily and her friend, Kelsey, decided to be "ghosts" to our Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. For a quick project, I thought they turned out pretty well!

Abby and her friend, Elena, decided to be "The Real Cowgirls of New Jersey."
(I didn't even bother to ask how they came up with that idea...)
They loaded themselves up with makeup, donned cowgirl shirts, boots, and hats, and printed "I love New Jersey" logos for their hats. (They even gave themselves fake names, complete with nametags.)
At the end of the night, I guess it was worth it---they each had a big bag full of candy!
P.S. Shelby was gone on a rare Saturday football game trip up in Warner-Robins, so she missed the candy. I think she had more fun where she was though! :)
