Before too much more time gets away from me, I finally uploaded some pictures this weekend so I can get some posting done on the few minutes of downtime I have at work.
It's hard to believe Shelby turned 15 way back in November. It seems like each year goes by faster and faster! She is growing into such a beautiful young woman inside (most importantly) and out!
Her favorite gift (which she gave herself by passing the test) had to be her learner's permit! She is doing a great job of learning to be a careful, defensive driver, but there is still something completely unnatural about sitting in the passenger seat while the child you gave birth to is driving you around! Hopefully one day soon I'll be used to it. (I've got to do this two more times!)
Her birthday this year was on a Saturday, and we spent the afternoon at a movie in Valdosta and then took her to her favorite--Red Lobster. Then it was back home for gifts and cake.
TWO POUNDS of tangerine Jelly Belly's--special ordered just for the birthday girl!
Even though she is 15, she has still not completely outgrown kid things--she requested the zebra pillow pet and the zebra mini pillow pet (for the car).
Shelby wanted an m&m ice cream cake--I thought it turned out pretty cute!
Two weeks after her birthday, she had her friends party. There was a lot of fun playing Just Dance on the Wii, movie watching, a bonfire, capture the flag, and lots more outdoor fun! I am so thankful that she has a good, sweet group of friends!
boys turn...
Singing "Happy Birthday"--originally Shelby didn't want this to happen, but I was glad she changed her mind. There are some things we are NEVER too old for!
Sure do love you, my first baby girl!
