Concert

We were so impressed at how far the sixth grade band has come in only one year. Mr. Majors, the band director, said they have far surpassed any other group of band students he has taught. Shelby has really enjoyed being in the band and has made some good new friends there, too. She loved playing the saxophone, but was asked to switch to the french horn next year. There are 16 saxophones now, and that is too many for one band. The director tested the kids to see which could handle the change the best, and he chose her. Currently there are no french horns in the sixth grade band, so this will be exciting for her. She is ready to try something new, so we have a french horn tutor lined up for over the summer to help her catch up. So, look for those french horn pictures to be coming! :)
