For the past couple of days I have been watching an adorable two month old for a new friend of mine. She had to go to Atlanta for business and her husband works, so I've been filling in. Well, this afternoon I went to pick up the girls from school. As many of you know, I am there a lot. Volunteering, subbing, eating lunch with the kiddos, etc. So, I am in the drive up lane since I didn't want to unload the baby, and a lady that works at the school, who I am friendly with, and see fairly regularly, comes to put Emily into the car. She sees the baby, looks me right in the eyes, and asks, "Oh, is she yours?"
Now, I know that I have a few pounds to lose (okay...maybe more than a few), but seriously---did I actually look like I was 9 months pregnant a few months ago? Wait...don't answer that.
TOGETHER... We make a FAMILY...

Don't feel bad - someone actually ASKED me when my baby was due! I just said "Oh I'm not pregnant - just fat!" That made her feel really dumb!
I've also had that same question asked, and didn't know what to say. So I just smiled and said no, just still losing baby weight from HD. I just try not to let it bother me. Have a good Friday
Hugs, Amy ;)
I think we've all been "hit" with that silly question. I think people can be pretty gutsy sometimes.
I have had that question before. Even recently a lady asked me if i was pregnant and I was like "uhh yeah" and thinking "no i just have one heck of a rootbeer belly! lol" then this lady (skinny thing too) said "oh i was afraid to ask cause i get that question alot!" i looked at her and couldn't help but think "you don't even have a pooch" some people just aren't right in the head sometime! I wouldn't let it bother you now adays unless your a size 1-2 you probably will get asked that question! It's pathedic!
Jenn, i remember going back to the hospital one night after running home just shortly after she was born for thanksgiving dinner. IT was past 9, so we had to go in the emergency exit. There were 3 other pregnant ladies, and hospital policy is that they have to be wheelchaired up to the birthing unit. When they got to me and insisted I sit down and be wheeled I quietly told them I already HAD my baby - she was upstairs in the NICU. :)
