I can't believe it's been a decade since this little sweetie entered our lives! She is such a joy to our family, and I know she will continue to be for many more decades to come!
Emily wanted a backyard water party, so we made it a luau theme...
Showing us that now she's a "handful"--actually two hands-full! :)
Emily with her friends Zoe and Samantha
We had the water slide and our pool set up for the day...good thing because it was HOT!!!
Present time!
Emily did not want a cake at her party...she wanted ice cream cones! We stuck a candle in the cone and sang to her while trying to keep it lit in the wind!
The next day (Sunday) was her actual birthday, so we celebrated again!
I guess we watch too much TV, because at the top of her list this year was a "Wonderfile" (as seen on TV). She LOVES it and has all of her art and craft supplies nicely organized now.
Another big request..."spiky" earrings for her newly pierced ears from her sisters.
Her last big request was a jacket she found in the Land's End kids catalog. Fortunately MeeMaw and Papa delivered on that one! It is so cute and she loves it so much she even wears it in the 90+ degree heat we've been having.
Again, no traditional cake...she wanted a homemade Reese's ice cream cake.
YUM!
YUM!
Happy Birthday, Emily!
