It is still so hard to believe my baby is in fifth grade already! Where we live, fifth grade means middle school...our elementary school days are officially over! :(
Emily has done so well this year making the adjustment to 7 classes and teachers, as well as adjusting to mom working full-time now. She has enjoyed making new friends and learning all sorts of new things. Here are a few things she has done so far this year:
Road Map to the Civil War
For Social Studies, Emily had to make a road map with many events that led up to the start of the Civil War. She is such an artist and loved decorating the poster with markers and some of mom's stickers!
Fifth grade is also when the students participate in the DARE program. Emily was mighty proud of her t-shirt, button, and certificate!
Bittersweet for sure!
