They finally did it!

After many weeks of frustration and disappointments, Shelby's softball team FINALLY won their first game last night! They won with a score of 10-3, so it was a decisive one! They had a near miss on Monday night, losing by only one run. I think that gave them a taste of victory and a much needed shot of self-confidence. It was so cute to watch all of the girls running around screaming after the game--you would've thought they just won some sort of championship! They all went onto the field and stood in a line at 3rd base and took turns running and sliding into home plate to celebrate their victory.

I was bummed because Travis wasn't there--Emily was coming down with a cold and was sleeping at home, and he was also making his famous spaghetti sauce for dinner tonight. And to top it off, I didn't have my camera--I am kicking myself for that one. It won't happen again!
