Dissed...by my own Mother!

Okay, so as you probably know, that pesky storm known as Fay is making her way closer to us now. At 6:22 this morning, I got a call from the schools. I was hoping that it would be to tell us that school was cancelled, but no such luck. Instead they told us that school would be let out at 1:30 instead of 3:00 because the worst of the storm was supposed to begin to arrive at about 2:30. I seriously considered keeping the girls home, but Abby had three tests today and I didn't want her to miss those.
Anyway, later in the morning I called my mom just to talk, and told her that I was going to leave really early to get the girls from school because with the rain, I thought the lines would probably be terrible long. Well, then she said, "No, they probably won't be too bad because anyone with sense would have kept their kids home today." Oh. No. She. Di-en't! So I laughingly called her on it and said, "What? You don't think I have any sense?" She was laughing so hard, she couldn't talk for a minute.
Fortunately, I know she didn't mean it. I just had to post it here so that the next time I stick my foot in my mouth with her (which happens quite often) I can remember that I'm not alone!
