Birthday Party

On Wednesday one of the elders serving in our ward, Elder Hartley, had a birthday. He turned 20. So we threw him a little party to celebrate.

We started with pizza and Mountain Dew...an Elder Hartley favorite :)

Then we moved on to pilates to help cut the pizza, mountain dew, and cake calories...

(I wish I had gotten THIS on video--it was hysterical!!!)

Then onto a dance performance of "Thriller"

I DID get video of the "Thriller" performance...

Then onto the candles and cake...

(with a little help from his friends)

Elder Williams, Elder Johanson, and Elder Hartley with their chocolate faces...

these guys are so much fun!

They all definitely work hard doing the Lord's work, but they can also PLAY hard!!!

Okay... that was so fun to watch! If the Elders work as hard as they play then they must be some incredible missionaries :) Thanks for all the fun pics and posts so we can keep tabs on our elder!

This is really becoming a bad habit....checking your blog daily!!! Thanks so much for giving us little glimpses of our boy. I always hoped that Nic would grow and mature during his mission. After watching the video, I am beginning to wonder!!!

Tiffani & Steph--
Elder Johanson is a GREAT missionary who is mature and still young at heart! :)
He and three other elders were over for dinner and FHE tonight, and we want you to know that our family thinks the world of him!!! Sorry I didn't get any new pictures tonight. :(

Jenn, those pics and video are absolutely hilarious. That brings back memories of times when my parents had the missionaries over to our house for meals, and holidays when I was a teenager. I miss being able to have their spirit in my home for meals and lessons, maybe again someday I can do that. I can only take them dinner from time to time. It's funny to see them other than when they are in their suits at church. My brother did stuff like that on his mission, I am sure, he is crazy like that.
I used to be able to do that worm thing too, a long time ago, when I was doing gymnastics and stuff like that. :)
