We were so glad to be able to go to Naples last weekend to visit family before the girls get busy with the new school year. It was great to see everyone.
Friday morning I had the bright idea of getting up early and heading to the beach and trying to get a new family picture. So we headed out at about 7:30 to try to beat the horribly bright sun. I didn't really plan ahead to do this when I was packing, so the clothes don't coordinate as well as they usually do. Also, I thought that as the girls got older pictures would get easier--not so! Trying to get everyone looking in the same direction (Trav included) and giving "natural" smiles is tougher than you'd think. Here are some that we got:
not bad, but a little dark
Abby's interested in the water
Trav and Abby aren't looking (can you tell that I am losing my cool?)
the best one we got with my camera
After the photo session, we let the girls play a little bit around the water. Since the day had just started and I didn't bring any extra clothes, we had to try and keep them out of the water. Easier said than done...
new sea shells
I was surprised at the waves--so pretty!
